10 Best Shows of 2010 USA

Anyone who regularly reads this blog will know it focuses completely on British TV however Erin ( Loster21 on Twitter) who helps keep it running is in America so it was only right to give a top 10 American show list that she has determined as well as the British list I thought up posted here…. We don’t agree on Luther 😉

These are shows that were broadcast in the US in 2010. My picks, in order:

Lost (season 6) – only one episode that was a “less favorite,” all the rest were exquisite representations of the best show ever on television

Fringe (seasons 3-4) – top notch throughout, both in mythology stories and monsters of the week

The Walking Dead – stunning first 5 episodes, hated the writing in finale

Haven – excellent rookie season, excellent season-ending cliffhanger

Rubicon – excellent throughout, sadly canceled after its one and only season

Terriers – excellent throughout, sadly canceled after its one and only season

The Good Wife (season 2) – no second-season dropoff, continued great stories and multidimensional characters

Inspector Lewis (season 2) – great twisty stories, great character developments

Sherlock – 2nd episode was the weakest of the three by far, but even that was better than most shows on tv in 2010, Excellent dialogue handled well by the cast.

Doctor Who (season 5) – very uneven, really disliked the season finale and the WW2 episode, but again, still better than most shows on tv, and there’s still that Doctor Who magic.
