Review – Single-Handed The Lost Boys Part 1

Having never seen this show before I was intrigued by it. Not many homegrown fiction shows come out of Ireland so it was of interest to me.

One of the first things that became evident while watching this is the setting of the show. Often, it is said that the locations of shows can play as additional characters in a show. This is very true. The picturesque landscape is a great addition.

Something else that was very quickly telling was the well, written plot. This first part of the story housed a fast and no nonsense crime story that wasn’t very groundbreaking but was organic. It has lead to what looks to be fairly predicable in terms of who could be responsible, but certainly not the worst plot twist in television history regarding the abuse.

The main character seems to be a good, strong and well, written lead also.

I wasn’t able to get fully into the story but there were other things that I have mentioned, like the characters and sights that kept me watching. I want to see how it all plays out but I wouldn’t run through glass to do so.
