Review – Law & Order UK Series 5 Episode 1 The Wrong Man

By now what makes a Law & Order episode a good episode is set in stone. It needs to be dark by its own standards during the crime part and it needs to have a lot of twists throughout. Not being predictable is another thing I think an episode needs.

Going by those guidelines I think this episode was just decent. It was certainly full of twists but the plot wasn’t earth shattering and some of the the things were a bit predictable. It was never anything other than a comfortable watch.

Obviously the new series has brought in some new characters. One of them, former Doctor Who Peter Davison didn’t feature a lot but the character worked in the scenes he was in. Dominic Rowan on the other hand did feature heavily and I really liked his character, he doesn’t suffer nonsense which lead to some good moments. I feel both new characters are improvements on the characters they have replaced meaning the show is improved. Good casting.

Not a memorable episode but maybe with the significant cast changes starting merely solidly is understandable.
